Coordinates menu planning, food production and food surpluses, to control costs. Supervises food preparation personnel to ensure food adheres to standards of quality to maintain cleanliness or kitchen and equipment.Oversees training of kitchen personnel in safe operation of all kitchen equipment and utensilsResponsible for training kitchen personnel in cleanliness and sanitation practicesResponsible for maintaining cleaning schedules for kitchen floors, mats, walls, hoods, other equipment and food storage areas.Checks and maintains proper food holding and refrigerationtemperature controlBe knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.Be able to work flexible schedule which involve nights and weekends. Qualifications:A minimum of 4 years of experience in food preparation, line cook, fry cook and expediterAt least 2-years' experience in restaurant management such as manager, kitchen lead or key.Must be able to communicate clearlyBe able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
