Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm


Job Summary: The Marketing Manager II has a key role in advancing strategic priorities and raising the profile of The University of Alabama, in support of the University's strategic plan. This classification works within the Division of Strategic Communications to develop a clear understanding of plans, goals, and ongoing efforts for communications related to various clients.


Additional Department Summary: The Marketing Manager will coordinate, prepare and analyze in-house and vendor supplied reports while also collaborating on the creation of new strategies and tactics to acquire new and more accurate data, create marketing efficiencies and automate reporting. This position will serve as the primary marketing researcher. Candidates also should possess a traditional marketing skillset allowing them to contribute with writing, proofreading, art collaboration and campaign integration.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of relevant professional experience.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Previous experience with Google Analytics is necessary.


Skills and Knowledge: Copywriting, data analysis, digital marketing, editing, Google Analytics, proofreading, and report building


Preferred Qualifications: Formal instruction in marketing analytics, Google Analytics certified, Google Adwords certified, experience with Google Data Studio, experience with content management systems, experience creating reports with MS Excel, and experience with Power BI
