Essential Functions

Assists in the operations of the Circulation department; runs morning reports and routs to correct recipients; uses Voyager system to charge or discharge items; collects fines/fees and clears patron accounts; uses Banner System to place, modify or remove holds on patron accounts; assists faculty, staff, and students to locate needed materials; maintains 3M security gates and records patron door counts; maintains TracCard inventory, cleaning, and maintenance; serves as backup for printing statistical reports; opens and closes the library as needed; repairs books as needed; works with bibliographer to develop guidelines for replacement of materials; interacts with students, library administration and librarians in person and by phone; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required; related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and four years of library experience. College education from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
