Solutions, Inc. (SVS) is building our Project Manager Mission Command (PM

MC) team. This team will develop, deploy, and transition into sustainment

integrated mission command and situational awareness capabilities to the Army

and joint forces. The PM MC team provides intuitive, adaptive mission command

and situational awareness capabilities for the command post and platform that

enable mission execution by commanders and leaders at all levels to be more

effective, agile and decisive. They also deliver capabilities across the

warfighting functions of movement and maneuver, command and control, fires,

sustainment, protection, intelligence, and engagement. This group uses an agile

and effective development process to achieve both near-term deliveries to

current systems and longer-term development to enhance mission command

The PM MC Team

is looking for a senior level Systems Engineer. PM MC System Engineers are

responsible for the full technology development lifecycle, including but are

not limited to:

• Requirements

analysis

• Systems

engineering, design and architecture

• Integration,

testing, upgrades, and maintenance

• Research

and development engineering

• Software

and hardware engineering

• Mechanical

engineering and platform integration support

• Support

of exercises, experiments, and demonstrations

• Technical

documentation and Configuration Management

• Security

engineering and Information Assurance

• Satellite

and communications architecture development

SYSTEM ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide

expertise and direction in the development or modification of complex software

programs to enhance an operating system.

• Works

independently to develop or modify complex software programs to enhance an

operating system.

• Assists

junior level software systems engineers providing guidance and direction for

their assignments.

• Develop

logic, code, and test and debug software packages.

• Modify,

test, and debug packages and engineering releases to integrate with the operating

systems.

• Develop

and modify complex software, such as routines supporting multiprogramming,

telecommunications, and file management.

• Interacts

with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and

software requirements and design.

• Participates

in the development of test strategies.

• Solving

engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems) in the

functional area to which assigned.

SYSTEM ENGINEER

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A

bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other Engineering or

Technical discipline and 5 years of professional work experience is required

(10 total years of experience without the degree)

• In-depth

working knowledge of Fixed supporting operating systems (Microsoft Windows 7,

Server 2008 R2, Server 2012, RH Linux, others)

• Experience

in creating technical documentation

• Working

knowledge of storage systems and automation

• Must

be self-starter, willing to take complete ownership of complex technical

problems

• Should

be able to think clearly and articulate with appropriate level of abstraction

his/her thought process on complex technological issues

• DoD

8570 IAT Level 2 certified (baseline security certification i.e. CompTIA

Security+ce) and (technical computing environment training or certification

i.e. Server+) prior to start of work

• A

current TS/SCI Clearance Required.
