Summary:
B.S. degree in Math, Physics, or other engineering related discipline is required with 0 to 5 years experience in flight and/or simulation software. This position will involve simulation enhancements for Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) related simulations. Primary duties consist of enhancing existing simulation code to provide customized data output in support of Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A) efforts as well as configuration management tasks. The simulations consist of a large code base that is implemented in C, C++, and FORTRAN and execute in medium/high fidelity configurations. Any level of experience with simulations and tactical weapon systems, GMD related systems, sensors or threat signatures would be beneficial. Desirable technical skills with specific disciplines include C/C++, MATLAB, Linux, PC Platforms and plotting software. This position supports a team composed of government and contractor personnel from multiple organizations. Therefore, written and verbal communication skills are essential. The position will require the ability to work effectively with a team and as an individual performer. Some limited travel may be required.
Position requires that candidate meet the requirements to obtain a final security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
