Senior Systems Administrator (Windows)
Performs and leads Windows system administration tasks in a classified lab environment
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
Administers Windows servers and systems
Administers an Active Directory Server
Provides assistance to the end user community on system usage and tools
Applies security guidelines and best practices to systems
Implements security controls, baselines, IA scanning, patching, IAVAs, etc.
Works with iSCSI and SAN/NAS
Maintains automated build systems
Implements cross platform authentication and cross platform backup systems
Investigates and recommends solutions for Windows systems, network and storage performance issues
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. May use related experience in lieu of education.
Minimum of five years of experience administering Windows systems as a system administrator is required
Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
Working knowledge of Active Directory configuration and administration
Working knowledge of O/S and security patching, STIGs, IAVAs, and IA scanning
A DoD SECRET security clearance is required
A Security+ CE or equivalent, and a Windows O/S certification, are both required within six months of hire
Windows O/S certification
