          Description

          Camber Corporation is seeking an JAVA Application Programmer - to join our diverse, team oriented Company that is Customer Focused- Employee Driven.           Bachelor’s degree (or Associates degree) in management information systems, computer science, or related field preferred. Two to four years experience supporting development of software business applications environment. This is an outstanding opportunity to build software with visible real-world impact. Create and maintain web-based logistics applications to help the Army make decisions and analyze the results of the materiel lifecycle. Gain experience with popular frameworks and tools while constructing high-quality software in a team of like-minded professionals.
          Secret clearance required. Work to be performed at Redstone Arsenal, AL

          Required skills:
          • Building, integrating, and testing J2EE applications
          • Full application lifecycle experience, including requirements development, design, implementation, test, and
          maintenance
          • Experience developing in UI and business layers
          • Ability to design, develop, and maintain object-oriented code
          • Working knowledge of HTML and XML
          • Experience integrating Java code with databases (JDBC, Spring data access, etc.)

          Desirable skills:
          • Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Service Bus
          • Source control system like CVS or SVN
          • Unit-testing frameworks like Junit or TestNG
          • Component-based UI framework like JSF or ADF
          • Familiarity with Oracle stored procedures

          • JavascriptJob Duties:Under general supervision, modify moderately complex applications programs from detailed specification. Code, test, debug, document, and maintains those programs. Able to support all phases application programlife cycle with instruction and guidance in phases.

          Provide software application development support requirements in accordance with the US Army Materiel Command (AMC) Logistics Support Activity (LOGSA). Maintain and enhance existing GOTS/ COTS/ Open Source applications. Application environment consists of a variety of languages and platforms including but not limited to J2EE, MS.NET, SAS Analytics, ColdFusion, Oracle (Applications Server, Business Intelligence, Weblogic), Oracle/SQL. SAP or IBM InfoSphere Suite experience is a plus. Applications interact with Oracle 10g and MS SQL Server databases.

          Implement, integrate and administer existing LOGSA tools at the database and application levels, and maintain interfaces with other Army GOTS and COTS products and legacy systems.

          Able to apply Industry and Government best practices (such as ITIL and/orCMMI) to conduct requirements analysis, development, sustainment, troubleshooting, documentation, application administration, reporting and all related tasks within the software development life-cycle process.
