          Community Health Systems Registered Respiratory Therapist in Fort Payne (Northeastern Alabama) Alabama United States

          Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist
          Location: AL-Fort Payne (Northeastern Alabama)

          Responsible for all aspects of patient assessment and education as well as selection and troubleshooting of equipment and services provided to our patients. As a Respiratory Therapist/JCAHO Specialist, responsibilities also include the assisting the Director in staff education pertaining to JCAHO compliance and clinical issues as well. Provision, direction, supervision, and evaluation of respiratory services to patients in accordance with agency policies and procedures, applicable health care standards, and governmental laws and regulations. Effective communication with patients, patients' families, caregivers, physicians, and other staff members concerning patients' physician orders, clinical issues, and education is essential. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

          Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school of respiratory care with required didactic and clinical experience in all patient populations.

          Experience:One year of critical care experience, and two years of hospital-based respiratory care experience preferred.

          Licenses/Certificates: Licensed by the state of practice and registry with the NBRC. Possession of reliable transportation, current driver's license, and proof of current auto insurance. Current CPR card.
