          Under broad direction, the engineer supervises and leads a group of engineers, architects, and designers. The engineer provides technical direction over a group and is responsible for coaching and developing lower level professionals. The engineer plans, budgets, organizes, and controls multiple small projects or large projects. The engineer will participate in project meeting involving scheduling and monthly project updates. The engineer may also create designs for structures and foundations made up of concrete, steel, masonry, or engineered products. The engineer may also review and check the work produced by other engineers or designers. The engineer may be required to visit project sites and client facilities to gather needed design information.
          Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years related experience, with average experience ranging from 15 years. Requires sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained professional. BS in Civil Engineering required. MS in Civil Engineering preferred. PE registration required. Professional experience with structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro required. Demonstrated experience leading teams required.
